Kelly and I were friends during our years of school together. In junior high and our first two years of high school, Kelly and I had lockers next to each other. Kelly could always make me laugh and bring a smile to my face, even on bad days. I have many fond memories of Kelly and our times together in school. She was a very special person with such a sweet and cheerful personality. She has touched my life forever. Ben, Aubree, Kaitlyn and all of Kelly's family, may God bless and comfort you in this difficult time. May you find peace in knowing that Kelly has truly touched the lives of all those she met and is now home with the Lord.

She was the sweetest, always smiling, girl. It does not surprise me that she would give so much of herself for others. Tera

I wll never forget her beautiful personality, and that one of a kind smile! I always told her she was the BEST hairstylit around!! I know her personality will live through those sweet little girls of hers, and will help her grieving husband, Ben to continue on living with her vivacious spirit! Kelly and I were good friends throughout elementary school. We shared too many memories to count. We had sleepovers, went to the fair, and she even pulled several of my loose teeth! She put a smile on everyone's face just by being herself. I'm sure her girls will continue that smile for her. To Ben, Aubree, Kaitlyn and the rest of her family: May God shine his peace upon you and give you the strength you need.

Kelly was my neighbor and great friend growing up in the country together in Antwerp and we have some of the best memories that I will always hold dear to my heart. She was the first person I met before starting kindegarten at Antwerp (afternoon class) and we would spend the summers riding bikes for hours on end; we always had so much fun no matter what we were doing. We could make each other crack up laughing in a second. Kelly was a great friend to me and she and Brandy were like my 2nd set of sisters. Just seeing Kelly brought a smile to my face and I am sure to many others. God bless you Kelly Jo, you will be missed. And to Kelly's family and Ben and the girls... my heart and prayers go out to you.

I've only known Kelly for just a little over a year at Brown Mackie. I remember her laughing at my jokes, and accepting me as one of her friend. She always treated me with respect and always reassured me of success in the L.P.N. program(specially whenever I was feeling discouraged.) I will miss her physical presence but her spirit will always be with me and all her fellow students.

I know "sorry for your loss" just doesn't cover it. When I saw Kelly's picture this morning in the EMS obituaries, it reminded me of my own wife, and to have a family on top of it, I just can't imagine the pain. Although we're nearly a country apart, we all bond during these times. Kelly made the ultimate sacrifice doing what she loved...make sure her children know that! Our prayers are with you on the West Coast.

I went to school with Kelly and we used to play around in class all of the time when our Cos. teacher was not looking. She was always an uplifting person and she always made us smile and laugh especially when the song "rocket man" was played during our lab times. I will never forget the time that she took the tooth pick comb and acted like she was sing the song while sliding across our lab floor. unfortunately we lost touch after our high school years but I want you to know that I will never forget her.

I really don't know what to say, Kelly was a special person. I had met her 10 years ago through her sister Brandy who was friends with some of my friends. Kelly started cutting my hair probably about 6 years ago and had kept doing so for 4 years until I moved. I had stopped in to say hi to her since I hadn't seen her in awhile and get my hair cut about 2 weeks ago. We caught up on things that we going on in our lives & she was telling me how she was going to school to be a nurse. I am really going to miss her & wish there was something I could say to those closest to her but there are really no words for this tragedy, I am SO SORRY for your loss!!! She will be missed by many and remembered by all. My deepest condolences!

As I write this, I'm still in disbelief that such a vivacious young lady was taken from our lives so tragically. My heart goes out to her family. When I moved to Fort Wayne, I came back to Kelly for my haircuts not only because I liked the way she cut my hair, but mainly because I enjoyed her as a person. It was fun to hear what new things the girls were doing, or empathize with her over her nursing classes. God be with you all and help you through this time of grief. I will miss her terribly.
